The information below pertains to plan reviews performed by the Fire Department only.  Plan reviews will be performed by the Building Permits & Inspections department staff.

"Beginning on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022, the City of Burleson will no longer conduct general fire code plans review internally. Moving forward, it will be required for plans to be submitted to an accepted third-party from the list of agencies below prior to submittal.  3rd Party Fire Code Plan Review

This is the same process that is currently in place for fire alarm and fire sprinkler plans.

What requires a permit?

Adopted Building Code 

City Council approved the adoption of the 2015 International Building Codes on March 4, 2019.  The Building Permits and Inspections Department will begin enforcing the new codes on April 1, 2019.
